Because of the low water conditions in southern Oregon I keep fishing some walk in and wade areas on the Rogue River and the Applegate River. The fishing in both rivers is good considering that it’s just the start of the Winter Steelhead run. The photo of this Steelhead was taken on Junuary 12th. Not huge by any standards but still a wild, Winter Run Steelhead. With the rains coming this week the rivers should come up and move more fish into the rivers and also allow us to drop the raft in and drift the Applegate for more fishing access.
